HVAC for the IAQ Professional

Quick Overview

This 8-hour, online course teaches the fundamentals of heating, ventilating and air-conditioning (HVAC) for indoor air quality (IAQ) professionals. The course has a special focus on how HVAC systems influence the health and comfort of building occupants.

This course describes both residential and commercial heating and cooling systems. It covers HVAC concepts such as filtration, ventilation, pressurization, moisture control and hygiene and maintenance.

The content in "HVAC for the IAQ Professional" is now included in our Certified Indoor Environmentalist (CIE) curriculum. The CIE course includes additional section on contaminants, health effects, building science, IAQ assessments, sampling and remediation. This 8-hour course uses an interactive format that includes an audio presentation synchronized to pictures, bullet points and quizzes on your screen. At any time, you can email or call your instructor with questions and get personal attention. You will have 100 days to access the 8 hours of self-paced content. You can access the material any time of day or night from any computer. The course includes a 200 page manual in PDF format.

Cost
The cost of HVAC for the IAQ Professional is $395.

Online Training Details
After registering and paying on our website, you will be e-mailed a unique PIN number. If you do not receive the e-mail in your inbox, please check your junk or bulk folder. Upon registration, you will be able to access the online training from http://onlinetraining.indoorsciences.com. You will be asked to enter in your email address and PIN number to log in.

The online training access is for one person only. Multiple students must not access the training. The IP address of the computer accessing the online class is recorded and any irregular activity may result in your course being canceled.

You will have access to the 8 hours of online training material for 100 days from your registration date. If you do not complete the material within 100 days, you can purchase an extension by clicking one of the following links: 3 day extension for $25, 100 day extension for $100.


This course qualifies for 8 recertification credits through the American Council for Accredited Certification (#09111003).
